Parking in Gassin

We suggest to park the car on the Montee Saint-Joseph street (P1; GPS: 43.230458, 6.585593), because it offers a nice view of the peninsula of Saint-Tropez and Port Cogolin as well as other localities across the bay. If there is no free place, you can also leave your car on the other side of the town, right at the entrance to it, in the parking lot along the road D89 (P2; GPS: 43.225298, 6.587666).

Strolling the village

We tour the village in the usual way, walking the narrow streets and admiring the views from the hill on which it resides. In the village center you can visit the Notre-Dame de l’Assomption church (A; GPS: 43.229396, 6.585663) from the fourteenth century. From the southern part of town you have a view (B; GPS: 43.227737, 6.585936) on the south areas of the peninsula.

One of the main tourist attractions in Gassin is the castle, which sits atop the hill. The castle was built in the 12th century and offers amazing views of the surrounding area. The castle also houses a museum where visitors can learn about the history of the region and the castle itself.

Gassin is also an ideal place for shopping. The town features many shops selling handicrafts, wines, and local products. Many of the shops offer unique products that are not available elsewhere on the French Riviera.
