The small village of Gassin is situated on a rocky hill, about 5 kilometers from Saint-Tropez. Access to it is possible through local road D89. It can be visited in one day, together with Saint-Tropez and Ramatuelle.
We suggest to park the car on the Montee Saint-Joseph street (P1; GPS: 43.230458, 6.585593), because it offers a nice view of the peninsula of Saint-Tropez and Port Cogolin as well as other localities across the bay. If there is no free place, you can also leave your car on the other side of the town, right at the entrance to it, in the parking lot along the road D89 (P2; GPS: 43.225298, 6.587666).
We tour the village in the usual way, walking the narrow streets and admiring the views from the hill on which it resides. In the village center you can visit the Notre-Dame de l’Assomption church (A; GPS: 43.229396, 6.585663) from the fourteenth century. From the southern part of town you have a view (B; GPS: 43.227737, 6.585936) on the south areas of the peninsula.
