The small village of Gassin is situated on a rocky hill, about 5 kilometers from Saint-Tropez. If there is no free place, you can also leave your car on the other side of the town, right at the entrance to it, in the parking lot along the road D89 (2; GPS: 43.225298, 6.587666).
Strolling the village
We tour the village in the usual way, walking the narrow streets and admiring the views from the hill on which it resides. In the village center you can visit the Notre-Dame de l’Assomption church (A; GPS: 43.229396, 6.585663) from the fourteenth century. From the southern part of town you have a view (B; GPS: 43.227737, 6.585936) on the south areas of the peninsula.
Gassin is also a good place for shopping. The town features shops selling handicrafts, wines, and local products. Many of the shops offer unique products that are not available elsewhere on the French Riviera.
