Lido di Camaiore, Tuscany, Italy

Thanks to its special characteristics Lido di Camaiore is a leading seaside resort and one among the most qualified resorts in Europe. The beautiful golden sandy beaches are spreaded along the Ligurian sea coast - between the towns of Marina di Pietrasanta and Viareggio. The tourists also have the opportunity to spend the time more active in the nearby mountains - the Apuan Alps.

Characteristics of the town

In fact, Lido di Camaiore is the "resort outpost" of older town Camaiore located inland, about 8 kilometers away from the sea. Actually, in both towns there are not too many interesting places to visit. Lido di Camaiore is used primarily as a place of rest and relaxation, and these functions are implemented very well. If you are only passing through, you can park your car near the sea, at the Viale Ermenegildo Pistelli street (P; GPS: 43.891559, 10.226886).

Beautiful sandy beaches are very well maintained. The whole area of the coast is divided into smaller fragments. For each of the mini-beaches leads a private entrance. To hire sunbeds, umbrellas and a changing room you have to pay appropriate rate, but the compensation is of course the beautiful place. Along the beach leads a wide promenade, so you can walk it for miles. When you are there you also should walk to the pier Pontile di Lido di Camaiore (A; GPS: 43.891803, 10.222314) which extends about 100 meters from the shore into the sea. From it you will get beautiful views of the entire area of the coast and the mountains on the horizon.

Residenza d'Epoca Hotel Club I Pini

Being in Lido di Camaiore we stayed in one of many existing hotels. It was a hotel called Residenza d'Epoca Club I Pini - located only about 300 meters from the beach (B; GPS: 43.892252, 10.230648). The hotel is a very charming house, containing artworks and nice features that deserve appropriate attention. It was built as the residence for the Italian painter Galileo Chini and currently it still contains many of his paintings. Every detail in the hotel is perfect, clean and neat. We however think that one of the best "features" of the hotel are the owners (two brothers) who make you feel really home and in the same time they are very professional. They are helpful and very positive about wanting to ensure you enjoy your stay. Thanks to it our stay in the town was really very nice - for sure, a good weather also played a big role.
